Being based in the Middle East I sometimes miss out on good alternative bands. Please send me your favourite new bands.
I am stuck in a land of commercial music, sometimes I feel so remote. Previously, having lived in Dublin and London, I was in the thick of it and could listen to new music and go to live gigs every night.
Here in Dubai we only get the commercial mix, recently live gigs, Boyz to Men! Bryan Adams! need I say more.
So please respond and let me know what my ears are missing.

Well suprisingly I am loving Green Day’s new: Working Class Hero.
Sounds like Uriah Heep / Blue Oyster Cult if you are into this stuff.

Been listening to it, the message is very powerful. It comes off the Amensty International album for Darfur, global artists covering John Lennon compositions.
Some good covers on it, purchase the album and you will be supporting a very good cause.
